Just wanted to say thanks

So this afternoon, I went over 2,000 hits on my website.  I’ve only been writing this blog for two months, and the outpouring from friends and strangers has been incredible.  I just wanted to take this blog post to say thanks to everyone who reads, likes, and comments.

Paul Newman and Joseph Lapin

It’s a tough gig, being a writer, but having a community is so important.  I’m thankful for that.  I’ve met some great people — editors, authors, teachers — over the last two months who have shown me the way and helped me gain some connections.  I’m not going to name them, because that would be lame.  But thanks to you, too.

It’s true what they say — it’s all about who you know.  Talent means something, too.  I’ve got a long way to go on this journey, and I’m just glad some of you have been here for the ride.

Tomorrow, I’m going to interview a state senator at a coffee shop for a profile.  I’m actually really excited.  The senator is running for Congress.  It’s unlike anything I’ve done before, but it’s also, when you think about, just an interview.  We’re all the same, and we just need to get to know each other.  I will keep you posted.

Does anyone haven any idea what D Code could mean?  I know that sounds like a random thought, but I will explain tomorrow.

      1. Wow, 2,600,000! That’s a ton of hits. Yeah, I write about music and events. Usually, I write about them for some weekly magazines down here in LA. But I will let you know when I write some for the blog. It would be cool to have you repost some of my work. And I’ll link your website to my blog. Maybe I can redirect some to you. Thanks!
